DOSBox Staging is a continuation of DOSBox, the emulator of MS-DOS, that aims
to be a drop-in replacement offering improved defaults and stability. It uses
a modern graphics and sound pipeline, supports high-resolution displays and
common audio CD images out of the box, and bundles a number of fixes and
features that the original DOSBox never received.

The emulation core is the same, so any DOS game or application that runs
under DOSBox runs under DOSBox Staging. Configuration files and the
AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS handling are kept compatible with the original.
