This plugin provides access to a broad selection of tools from the SAGA - System for Automated Geoscientific Analyses universe. It is a continuation of the plugin that originally has been created by Victor Olaya and that was later maintained by Nyall Dawson under the name SAGA NextGen until left abandoned.
Starting with SAGA version 9.13 the SAGA Processing Provider plugin is automatically compiled for each SAGA release. It provides interfaces to parameter sets and descriptions of SAGA tools and allows to execute these tools by calls of SAGA's command line interpreter (saga_cmd). It does not support disabling of parameters that are e.g. not available for a chosen option, a feature that you may already know from using SAGA's graphical user interface.
Because of this as well as a number of further restrictions and limitations, we highly recommend to choose SAGA's native graphical user interface as front end for exploring and using its tool set!
The SAGA software is, and always will be, available free of charge and is a result of a huge effort and social contribution from a small group of community members who volunteer their time and expertise. If you are able, we gently request that you support our work. Whether you choose to donate or not, we hope that you enjoy using SAGA and spread the word.
Our very best regards!
